GROUP OF SEVEN (G7)

Canada is the smallest G7 country, yet this country’s political elite maintains a strong disposition towards preserving Canada’s place among the world’s powers. For instance, Ottawa prefers to work with the great powers instead of the Nordic states and The Netherlands. By doing so, Ottawa focuses on its ties with the G7 member countries over developing a more progressive position by strengthening its ties with mid-sized rich countries.
